For more than a quarter of a century until his death in 1935, Aron Nimzowitsch was recognised as one of the world's leading players. The leading Grandmaster of the Hypermodern school, his games were full of new ideas and plans, which were accompanied by landmarks in chess literature such as My System and Chess Praxis. Raymond Keene has covered Nimzowitsch's career in detail, continuing the themes of My System and drawing on Nimzowitsch's own notes, which had not appeared in English before this book.
