Schach Niggemann has been awarded the CO₂ Climate Certificate by BellandVision – “The Future Needs Recycling”!

Through the use of recycling and waste reduction, Schach Niggemann is making an important contribution to climate protection. With the CO₂ Climate Certificate, BellandVision confirms our company’s reduction of CO₂ emissions achieved through the recycling of our sales packaging.

In 2024, Schach Niggemann participated in the BELLANDDual systems with a total of 9.3 tonnes of sales packaging. These quantities were processed and recycled by BellandVision in accordance with certified material flow reports. Through the recycling of our packaging materials, 1.6 tonnes of CO₂ equivalents were saved.

The emissions savings were calculated by DFGE – Institute for Energy, Ecology and Economy. Based on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and in alignment with standards DIN EN ISO 14040 (“Environmental management – Life cycle assessment – Principles and framework”) and DIN EN ISO 14044 (“Environmental management – Life cycle assessment – Requirements and guidelines”), emissions for management and operational implementation during collection, sorting, transport, and processing were recorded and offset against emission credits for material and thermal recovery.
