Sammy Reshevsky was one of the greats of chess, with victories against no fewer than seven world champions to his name - Alekhine, Botvinnik, Capablanca, Euwe, Fischer, Lasker, and Smyslov were all numbered amongst his victims. He is also a major contributor to First Piatigorsky Cup and Second Piatigorsky Cup.
