Brochure with answers to questions in the book "How to become a Candidate Master" (Art.-Nr. LXDUNHTBACM)

The book you've been waiting for!
One of the most popular chess books in recent times has now come forward with answers to the questions posed in the original text, besides that, you get corrections of typos, the ratings of the players, a biographical sketch of the author, and reasons why this has become one of America's most popular chess books in only one year!
How to Become a Candidate Master offers real improvement to the visionary chessplayer. No fables, no promises, just great ideas, common sense, and an organized approach to make it easier for you to get chess scalps and add lots of rating points so that you can reach that goal occupied by only 5% of the chess players in the U.S. Chess Federation.

Alex Dunne's How To Become A Candidate Master has become the fastest selling chess book in our history. There are many reasons for this:
1) The book is written in a readable style;
2) The games are from real life players trying to make "Expert";
3) The comments and thought-provoking questions scattered throughout the book validate an interest On the author's part to get you to improve as a player;
4) The opening play is the sort of thing you can expect to see at chess tournaments;
5) The typographical layout was easy on the eyes and comfortable to handle;
6) The cover was well-designed and an eye-catcher.
It's one of those books that will sell in a non-chess bookstore. I know of one large company in Chicago that went through a pile of them in no time and I am told that this situation is common in tournaments on the coasts also. In Milwaukee we went through two dozen of them in a couple of days.
Chess players are tired of self-improvement books that really don't help. Dunne's book puts you in the driver's seat and has that Andrew Carnegie type of appeal that makes you want to hurry right away to a chess tournament and clobber some opponents in "expert" style.
I've been told by those that have used this book that if it is read several times then you will get the maximum value from it. I've had players, who were in a rut, tell me this book did catapult them into "Candidate Master" status and others told me that they bought the book to help keep themselves there.
This is what I call an attitude book. It helps you develop the correct frame of mind in order to play chess at your best.
The "Answer Guide" that you are holding in your hands is a direct feedback response for those that wanted ratings published and answers to the questions posed in the book. While we were at it we tried to correct typos that were reported to us from buyers and straighten out some diagrams that had gotten by the proofer.
This is a super book and I would recommend it to your friends with high chess aspirations. It has just undergone a second printing.
