Among the great players in chess history, there is one name which stands out with an aura of invincibility, Tigran Petrosian, World Chess Champion from 1963-69. For long periods of his career, which ended with his untimely death in 1984, Petrosian was considered almost unbeatable, thanks to his remarkable defensive qualities and iron will.
